Common therapy for migraine attacks

The drugs of choice to treat a migraine attack are triptans, to be used at the beginning of the crisis, followed, in case of non-efficacy, by analgesics (e.g, ibuprofen ) or indomethacin (50 mg tablets or 100 mg suppositories).

Both categories, however, have specific contraindications:

- Age > 65 years or < 18 years for triptans

- Concomitant cerebrovascular diseases or high blood pressure for triptans

- Renal or hepatic impairment for analgesics, which, furthermore, cannot be used in children or in elderly patients

- bleeding diathesis or concurrent anticoagulant or antiplatelet therapy for analgesics

IN ALL THESE CASES, OR IN CASE OF MILD PAIN INTENSITY, IT IS ALWAYS WORTH USING AURASTOP AT THE DOSAGE OF 2 TABLETS AT THE BEGINNING OF THE ATTACK. IN CASE OF NO BENEFIT, USE COMMON ANALGESICS.
